Gallery Opening: Sunday, March 2, 2025 at 7:00 PM

Ahead of the holiday of Purim, and inspired by the Carnival of Masks in Venice, which are events that stimulate creativity, imagination, and breaking routine among all of us, the intriguing artist Mina Erental tries to decipher in her artistic language the meaning of the mask of our lives, exposed and hidden,
truths and hypocrisy, a variety of statements and angles of observation, some environmental and cultural, some intimate in exposing concealment and exposing lies and truth, and the dream and its brokenness.
This exhibition is characterized by diversity and abundance and variations on the theme of the mask. Masks that rely on cultural traditions from the past as well as modern artistic concepts.

A mask is an object that covers part of the face or all of it, and sometimes also part of the head. The mask is used as a symbol to characterize a character in community events such as religious ceremonies in Western and non-Western cultures (African and Eastern countries). The origin of the word 'mask' is probably from the Latin word Masca, which means ghost, and from the Arabic (jastar), which means 'person in disguise'.
The mask constitutes a covering, concealment, masking and hiding that are expressed in the daily life of intimate, social, environmental, artistic and cultural human existence, and the occupation of concealment is often an inseparable part of the work of the designer, creator and artist.

Mina Erental has been drawn to creation in its various aspects throughout her life. The urge to engage in creation was stronger than her, and in recent years she has been creating in her studio in Kiryat Bialik.
Mina's works combine a multitude of techniques and artistic connections. She connects the mysterious, fantastic, realistic, and everyday.

Past and present blend together in a cosmic, free, and intuitive connection. In this exhibition, the seam between realism and fantasy flows into ready-made figurative works characterized by intense colors, royal gold, and silver.

Erental invites the viewer into a personal adventure: to know how to touch and enter the depths of the soul of each and every one of us.

The vitality and optimism of the works that can be found throughout the artist's work are fascinating, and Mina's language attracts communication and understanding. The combination of order and disorder, interior and exterior, passion and elegance.

As an artist, Erental is true to herself, she does not follow the same path and seeks ways to express and create in an innovative way. The artist sees art as the desire to express the beauty and goodness that exist in our world and in our lives.

From her personal world and in her light style, Mina shares two worlds. The world of precise technical science with spiritual and surreal abstract.

The work is in layers, a variety of materials, mixed technique and completely intuitive. Closing: 1.4.2025
