PM Netanyahu Met with US Sen. Lindsey Graham, US Sen. Chris Van Hollen and with UK Home Secretary Sajid Javid

Few diplomatic meetings took place yesterday:
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met today (Monday, 1
July 2019), at the Prime Minister's Office in Jerusalem, with US Sen. Lindsey
Graham (R-SC) and US Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD). They discussed regional
issues, including Iran and Syria. The Prime Minister noted the importance of
increasing the pressure on Iran. The senators stressed the continuation of
bipartisan support for Israel.
Netanyahu also met today with UK Home
Secretary Sajid Javid. The two discussed strengthening security cooperation
between the countries. Prime Minister Netanyahu thanked UK Home Secretary Javid
for defining Hezbollah s a terrorist organization in the UK.
Early Netanyahu met Minister's Office in Jerusalem and
with a bipartisan US Congressional delegation led by US Rep. Ted Deutch (D-FL).
The Prime Minister spoke with the delegation members about the activities of
Iran, which is undermining stability in the region and endangering the security
of Israel, and ways to increase the pressure on Iran. Netanyahu commended the
bipartisan presence expected at the American Independence Day ceremony, which
will be held in Jerusalem for the first time
President Reuven (Ruvi) Rivlin met today with Jason
Greenblatt, President Trump's Special Representative for International
Negotiations.
The president welcomed Mr Greenblatt warmly and
the two discussed recent developments in the efforts to restart Israeli-Palestinian
negotiations and the search for a peace agreement. The president noted the
unique and important role played by the United States, Israel’s ally, in the
search for peace and reconciliation in our region, and said that the State of
Israel welcomed their efforts towards a better future.
